Criminal Spike, possibly agent Buffy?

I'm looking for a wonderfully crafted fic in which Spike is a criminal, possibly a mobster. I remember that the fic does not follow the normal progression of time. It starts out with Spike in prison/ arrested (can't remember, sorry), and we know that he hurt Buffy. I know that Spike actually loves Buffy, and possibly something happened with an aborted pregnancy.
Am I confusing two fics? Has anyone read something like this?
