This is something I read years and years ago, and I remember it as being either short or a WIP but who knows (it could have been my teenage brain). Anyway, from what I can remember, Spike and Buffy are both teens or at least fairly young. They sleep together and Buffy gets pregnant and they get married and she goes back to England with him. His mother or his sister or someone is really angry that Buffy is there (being a common American) and keeps trying to sabotage them and drive Buffy away. Any suggestions?

This is the only fic that I can think of that has Spike as royalty.

None of those were what I remember but I'm definitely going to check some of them out. Maybe it wasn't a title so much as a big inheritance?

There was pattyanne's Sweet Sixteen but I don't think it was ever finished and I don't recall them going back to England or even if Buffy gets pregnant in it. But there was the William is secretly royalty complication in it (or at least very wealthy nobility anyway).

There was a story I recall where Buffy married William who was the son of a very wealthy industrialist or nobility or something and she wasn't pregnant and the father (Giles) was interfering in a very evil machiavellian way. But that seems the opposite of what you are thinking.

Very intriguing quest on this thread....

If guest was thinking of an interfering Giles, one of my favorite, albeit unavailable fics is Sqwak's "The Pen is Mightier." William is the son of a rich Giles, but no one knows that. Buffy falls for him as the shy, quiet newspaper writer and perhaps gets pregnant. Can't quite remember if the pregnancy was real or if that was Giles excuse for trying to pay her off to stay away from William.

That doesn't fit the requester's criteria though since they were older in that, twenties I imagine, working at a newspaper. Good story though.
