buffy is from a rich family. i think it was set in the 1800s...her father has to be talked into alowing her to attend this exclusive academy for slayers.they are trying to find THE SLAYER(duh its buffy) spike is a teacher there buffy falls for him. spike is turned into a vamp but at this point its obvious that buffy is the salyer and she demands that he be alowed to continue teaching her or she will leave the school and turn her back on everything.

This doesn't sound anything like what you are looking for but, I thought I would throw it out there anyway. It's set in modern day AU, and Spike is the vampire Buffy trains with.

The only 'slayer school' fic I can think of was a more modern setting and it was - obviously - potentials not actually called slayers yet but the kids were younger when they were sent there and grew up there. It was on the grounds of a huge estate in England and Spike came to teach there I think, unless it wasn't spuffy in which case I'm not sure who it was but Travers was in charge and I remember he used corporal punishment freely and hated young Buffy so she was always getting hit. And it wasn't a 'spanking fic' it was just him being a cruel Watcher. But it wasn't a nineteenth century setting, it was modern day. And I don't remember the man involved (which I really think was Spike) being a vampire in it.

Does this ring a bell? Could this possibly be a mix of this fic and the one you are thinking about? I only mention it because sometimes that happens that two fics get mixed up in a requester's mind.

I duno ya they do run together sometimes but i dont remmber any beatings by travers and i think buffy was older....but as for the time period i dont realy remeber...
