This fiction takes place Post-Chosen/during ATS5. Both Spike & Buffy have burn scars on their hands from when they held them together & they flamed in the closing of the hellmouth. They can feel tingling in the scars when they're near each other (although Buffy does not realize Spike is back yet). Any recollection about this story name & author?

I had never read this one before. I just did and there is no mention of scar's on either Buffy or Spike's hand. Also, it is incomplete. I'm pretty sure the one I'm trying to remember was finished.Sorry this is not the fiction I'm looking for.

Thank you for reminding me of this fictoin. I read it awhile ago, but it is not the one I'm trying to recall. Although a nice story, Fonder Distance by maryperk is much shorter than what I'm trying to remember. Also there is only one mention of a tingling in Buffy's hand, and it's not significant in the story.
The fiction I'm trying to get to has the burn scars & tingling for both Buffy & Spike mentioned many times. It notifies them that they are near each other. I believe Buffy is not aware Spike has returned and comes back to LA & visits Angel at W&H. Her palm's scar starts tingling because Spike is in the office building but she doesn't know why the scar is bugging her. Meanwhile Spike's scar is acting up also & is wondering why as well and suspects that it's because of Buffy.
