Vampire Buffy

All I remember is that Buffy becomes a vampire -not by Spike- and has a very hard time controlling herself and avoiding to eat people. (I think they actually restrain her at some point.) Spike tries to teach her how to control herself and becomes, sort of, her adoptive sire. I think that Spike is still evil and that it was a long fic. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to read the whole fic because I lost it.

I have been trying to find it for some time now with no success. I would be grateful if you managed to help me.

Was there any Dawn drama? If so it could be one of Herself's fics.

I've just read Needlework and it's not it. I don't remember any Dawn although there might be. (I will be checking herself's stories next).

From what I remember Spike finds her or she finds him in a semi-wild condition and he sort of adopts her grudgingly. Until the point I read it was about her adjustment to her new condition. Her original sire could have been Angelus or another different vamp but not Dracula. I remember Angel made an appearance, as well, and there was no Dru.

Oh, and it's not Dark Gift either.

It is something along the lines of Not Dead but not it exactly. I remember that Spike was still evil and that he didn't really want to take Buffy up initially. Buffy was the one persisting and pestering him. I think their whole bantering was even a bit funny at the beginning.

That's the first story in the Child and Sire series by Kallysten - His Childe. It's on Nocturnal Light. I don't recall it starting out as contentious as the original poster is recollecting though, or that Buffy was turned elsewhere or anything. It's a great series and worth the read but the original poster will have to say whether it's the story they're looking for.

Remona - I think you have to remove yourself. Look down near the bottom of the post and I believe you will find a link or a box to check to do that.

His Childe by Kallysten is Spike as the sire and there is no problem with Buffy having any bloodlust difficulty as she has her soul straight away too so it can't be that one.
