It's been years since I read this but it's a post season fic. Maybe around post Ats or at least Not Fade Away? Apparently the balance or something is out of whack because of all the slayers and the First gets Buffy to agree to take back all the powers. She has to experience every pain, every death of all the Slayers she called. That's the only scene I remember...
