Okay, so I feel like I made this fic up in my twisted mind. I've never found it again after reading it a million years ago.

Spike is with Dru, and I think she cheats on him or they fight, and then he meets Vamp!Buffy, and I think she helps him get Dru back by making her jealous or maybe they have a one night stand? Can't really remember much, but Buffy pops up a few times in his life, until they finally get together.

I also remember something about all three of them being together, and at one point I think Spike leaves the girls for a while? There's a tent or something when he comes back? This might be a separate fic though.

I only remember a story where human Buffy makes Angel jealous with Spike (and falls for Spike) even if I know that I've read the summary or the fic that is searched before - but it isn't A Rose by any other name.

Summary of "Rose": Buffy jumps off of the platform but instead of going to heaven she ends up in the body of a newborn girl in Oklahoma. She tries to go home over the next sixteen years but something won't let her. Drusilla comes to lend a fang so that Buffy can save Spike
Buffy/Spike. AU after the Gift

Good story though, one of my favorites. It has a sequel too (The Sweetest Blossom). (Sorry, my link is dead. I'll try to find another one.)

It's not A Rose By Any Other Name, but the summary sounds great. I'm definitely going to read it.
