After Buffy dies and comes back, she doesn;t start her destructive relationship with Spike. He becomes her best friends and they get really close. It takes you from after she comes back until the end of the series. And at the end of the story, when Spike is wearing the amulet, (I think he gets his soul, I don remember that part), she cuts the amulet off him and they run to the bus. They all head to LA to see Angel. Eventually, Buffy and Spike get together and decide to leave LA because Buffy is tired of being the Slayer and there's thousands of them now. Dawn finds out about them and I want to say Spike and Buffy are heading for Europe but I'm not 100% sure but I do know they leave LA to go wherever they feel like.
