Powerless Buffy and hero Spike...

It's all very vague, but I'm looking for a fic I read years ago, where Buffy was stripped of her Slayer powers and Spike came to her rescue while she was being accosted by a bunch of regular guys. It could have been set during Helpless in season 3, but maybe not...and that's about all I remember! Any suggests for fics along these lines would be great :)

I don't know if this is the story but it sounds a little like "Breaking a Slayer" by DarkRhiannon. Spike finds Buffy after the body switch with Faith, she is weakened because of all the drugs Faith took and is being attacked by a bunch of human men. The story starts off as a B/S story but becomes a B/A/S story. It can be found a adult fanfiction. net here;

I recall reading something like that over at Marked for Death, not sure if it's what you're looking for but it's called:

You Are My Angel by Python Chick

The summary says this: Buffy is 25 and has lost her Slayer abilities. A demon in town wants revenge and Angel shows up to help fight it. This was my very first fic. Not B/A. R

it might be Helpful by sabershadowkat. it's a spuffy remake of helpless. you can find it on EF.

also Helpless Again by ZoeGrace is a spuffy helpless fic. i don't know where you can find this one but i have it saved my email is menolly_23 at yahoo dot com

There's another one called 'Helpless' I think, but I couldn't find it and I don't remember who the author was. It's set during Helpless season 3, also. No, it wasn't ZoeGrace. It's much older. I read it at the old BSV, I'm sure.

Thanks guys! Tera, while it's not the one I'm looking for, I've read and enjoyed Breaking a Slayer before, and might just do again! Thanks for the other suggestions too, but still not the one I'm thinking of. Wish I could remember more details! Any other suggestions would be great :)
