Spike's in a car crash in Coming Clean after an argument with his father, Giles, who has just learned that before coming to Sunnydale, Spike had been working as a male escort.
Coming Clean by Pagan Baby All Human. Sequel to 'Room Service'. Buffy and Spike haven't seen each other since that night in New York. They have dreamed and fantasized about meeting the other again. What will happen when they meet unexpectedly in Sunnydale? Can they get past the circumstances of their NY encounter?
Room Service, Coming Clean, and Ball and Chain, the third story, are all here on TSR.
Also, on Nocturnal Light--
Speedway, by Jypzrose. Summary: Five years ago, William 'Spike' Giles left Sunnydale to pursue his dream of racing stock cars. He left behind the love of his life, Buffy Summers, who couldn't deal with the dangers of his chosen profession. After an accident on the track, that leaves him nearly crippled, Spike returns home to heal, both old wounds and new. There, he finds Buffy again, and he realizes that he never stopped loving her. There's two problems. One, she's moved on with her life. Two, his need for speed still scares her. Can they get past their fear and find love again?
And, two stories whose names and authors I can't remember. Maybe these details will jog someone's memory . . .
After an accident, Spike is brought into the emergency room where Buffy works as a doctor. He's part of a band (I think Faith, Angel and Oz are the other members). He and Buffy were once together, but hadn't seen each other for many years. He has to stay in the hospital for therapy. Buffy gives him a book that means something to them both, but he leaves it in the trash when he checks out of the hospital.
And last, Spike is a guitarist staying in a hotel room next to Buffy and Willow's. They are in town for a conference, but I can't remember what they do--doctors? teachers? Buffy meets Spike when she storms to tell him to keep it quiet. They have a regular spot for lunch. He rides a motorcycle, and that's what he crashes. |
