I was wondering if anyone could recommend a great, well written fic that makes you cry... like totally cry, tears streaming down your face, blubbering like a baby... with a happy Spuffy ending. I'd prefer if it wasn't Buffy and Spike being cruel to each other that made the story sad, but I just need a real tearjerker, so I won't be picky. Any season or rating, AU, AH... doesn't really matter, although more adult-themed is appreciated muchly. Love y'all!

You're a gem

I love angsty and dark, and Herself is one of my favorite writers. That said, the final story in her long Bittersweets Series (which on it's own is very angsty and hard) was so much of a tearjerker that I kept crying (and I rarely cry at fics no matter what is happening in them) but does eventually have a satisfactory spuffy ending I could live with. The pervading sense of melancholy was absolutely wrenching throughout. But by the time I was done with it -- a gazillion pages later -- I was okay. And it is, as usual for her, quite brilliant.
