I've recently started re-watching Buffy from series one. In the episode "Angel", where Angel sleeps by her bedside, I couldn't help but think what that would be like if it were Spike instead. The s-xual tension with the air of innocence.

So. Are there any re-writes of "Angel" where Spike is Angel? (I believe there are a few Season 2 re-writes where Spike comes to help Buffy in Angel's place?)

Also, are there any early season fics where Spike is quite innocent to begin with (well, not as devilishly s-xy as usual) as he starts a tentative friendship/relationship with Buffy?

I just want to read about Buffy and Spike having the slow kisses and the long glances, like Buffy and Angel had in the series. If they end up for adult eyes only, thats simply a bonus.

I haven't read much fic that fit this criteria.
