I'm looking for season 5 fics where instead of shooting Spike down so relentlessly when he starts acting so adorably awkward over his feelings for her, Buffy starts changing her mind about him. Something similar to Abby's Could Be You, with lots of moments from canon that get reworked with a less bitchy Buffy. Or at least with a Buffy who realizes eventually that she's being bitchy. Preferably not a super-fluffy one-shot - it's great when she shoots him down at least a little bit at first, because then it means something when she changes her mind.

Thanks for all the recs, Slaymesoftly! I've read (and loved) most of these already. In fact, To Save a Lady is one of my all time favorites. Just finished Undivided and Someday Soon and they hit the spot!

If anyone else has any other suggestions, bring 'em on! Especially episode stealers with some meat - where certain classic moments like from Fool for Love or Crush still happen, but Buffy reacts a little differently or changes her mind soon after.
