Requirement is straight-forward, in-verse Spike is still wheelchair bound or is pretending to be, or any human fics with injured/crippled Spike. However brief.

Set in Season 2. Angelus is free and Buffy has to be ready to do her duty, but can she heal herself and a broken vampire as well? Kinda a lame summary...just read, promise you won't regret it.

Answer to Cats fic challenge must contain- happens in season 2, Spike has to be in his wheel chair. Spike saves Buffy from Angelus. Possible a rash decision to make Dru jealous. Instead he's "stuck" with the slayer and Dru's still playing along with daddy.

It's already on the list, it is a good one though so a second mention isn't a bad thing.

I have my fingers and toes all crossed for some new little gem although I think it might be a big ask as most will be S2 and I have looked far and wide for S2 fics. Some I might just not be remembering, but there always seems to be more I've not found yet so I can't squash the hope someone knows more.

Thanks for the reminder katkot81, I had forgotten about that one. It really is going to be tough to find a new one I think but I haven't read that for such a long time so I may well reread.

I've been trying to remember the name of a really good one but maybe my description will jog someone's memory. Willow does a spell that sends Buffy back In time to when Spike is in the wheelchair and they are enemies. She can't tell her friends or watcher because there is already a Buffy there. Spike ends up helping her get out of town on a train. Before they get away he takes a horrible beating from Angelus to protect her. They go to South America and stay there for quite a while. Hope this helps

I actually have a list of favorites that aren't mentioned here, so I'll add them in case you haven't seen one of them.

'Et Lux Et Tenebris Lucet' by Enigmaticblue is an AU S6 in which Spike saves Dawn and Buffy but is paralyzed in his fall from Glory's tower. It's amazing.

Slaymesoftly's 'Loves Lost' series goes AU sometime around 'Innocence', and features Buffy and Spike working together after she is captured by Angelus and Ethan Rayne. The first two parts, set in S2, have Spike still paralyzed after the events of 'What's My Line'. The first story is called 'Loves Lost'; the second is 'Love Awakened'. There are two more pieces, set in S3.

Slaymesoftly also has a between-the-lines, pre-Spuffy oneshot set in S2 called 'Later'. I love it so much I've made it head-canon.

Three more BTL S2 shorts are 'Equal Opportunities' by Constance (generic S2), 'Heartless' by foxinator (set around Valentine's Day), and 'Last Dance' by Darkrivertempest (set during 'Killed By Death'). There's also rabid1st's 'Nights in White Cotton' (again, set during 'Killed By Death').

perletwo's 'Burn It All Away' series is an AU collection with Spuffy romance much earlier than it happened in canon. The first few feature Spike while he's still in the wheelchair.

If you're ok with WIPs, tempestt has an AU showing how Dawn's presence could have drastically altered the series. It's getting regularly updated over on Elysian Fields and is called 'Remember When'.

Lastly, there's Enchantress's 'Crippled', in which Buffy takes Spike in after she paralyzes him during the beating at the end of 'Dead Things'.

Glad I could help! I must confess that the plot device of "Buffy taking care of Spike after he manages to get himself beat to hell" is a favorite, for the reasons that (a) h/c is fun, (b) it lets us see more of Spike's non-fighting capabilities, and (c) Buffy relates more easily to people she's caring for, so it's one of the few ways that pre-S6-Spuffy could come about. So I spent way too much time bookmarking those when I tripped across them and am always on the lookout for more. If I see any others, I'll be sure to add them. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy those!

Oh, here's another one I forgot: 'Claimed: The Price of a Mark' by Spikes KittyKat. Set in S2, Angelus claims Buffy and she strikes a bargain with Spike. She will give him her blood, and he will challenge Angelus to break the claim when he's strong enough to fight.
