I am reading some of the current WIP, at this time like Family by stuffnonsense and Road Full of Promiseof Promise

If it's a indefinite WIP, please only post if it's almost finished to the point, where all they needed to do, is wrap up the loose ends of the main story.

These may fit for you but I don't think either are 'older' fics so I'm not sure.

After The Fall by BuffyXenaDQFan which is a WIP that ends after an (obviously) unexplained incident and there are definitely threads still in progress/hanging but the main story has been completed. Always difficult when directing people to WIPs because it can be such a personal reaction to where it stops but I personally think it is well worth the read.
Imagine this as a re-telling of Season 6.
