Post-Becoming Spuffy fics

I'm keen to read any fics that take place around the time after Buffy killed Angel in Becoming. I vaguely remember one where Buffy takes up residence in another time and has bowling nights with her new friend and then lives with Spike before vampires crash the local bar and reveal their secret identities.... Anything like this, where the two meet up and move on together would be great. Thanks xxxx

I haven't read it yet but it looks promising. It is unfinished though.

The premise is an alternate ending for Becoming II. It's set after season two so some of the information is not in tune with the show now, but you won't really care. It's a dark story, but well written and very engrossing.


There is another post-Becoming thread here from yesterday also so you might look there for more recs. I know I rec'd a bunch of them.

That entire other thread is missing, at least I can't find it. There were a lot of fics between season two and three fics on it....

I know. It's the second time recently that I have spent considerable attention to making several recs and then finding the entire thread deleted for some reason and last night when I saw this latest one gone I was seriously pissed off and didn't want to answer any more rec requests again. All that effort is wasted if no one gets to see it after a day.

There is this story, Victims Of Fate by: ya_lublyu_tebya, which goes quite AU during Becoming.

The summary is:

Goes AU after 'Becoming'. The soul-restoration spell has further-reaching consequences than anyone could have imagined, changing Buffy's life in a multitude of ways. And when her life begins to fall apart, she finds understanding in the last place she would have looked. ***Winner of Judges' Pick at Spuffy Awards, Round 15***

I quite enjoy this story, there's a bit of B/A to begin with as you would expect and then later on a tiny B/O moment but it ends on a high Spuffy moment.

There is also Avocation by Enigmaticblue which can be found on the Elysian Fields website. It's slightly AU as the summary outlines but it really picks up around the Becoming episode, so around the timeframe you're looking for, and the story is really good. It also has two sequels, Under the Sun and An Unaccomplished Fate, however the 3rd story you'll find at the Nocturnal Light site.

Summary:

The gypsies cursed the wrong vampire, and by the time they rectify their mistake, Spike has been fundamentally altered. Now, the Slayer needs help stopping the apocalypse, and there's only one man for the job. Of course, he's not real interested in taking it. Begins around Becoming, Part 2.

Concerning the story by Lynn, does "The Chains SERIES" mean that there were other stories in the series? If so, I'd love to be directed to them. Are there other stories by Lynn? Has anyone tried to contact the author to suggest that she might finish the story? Gaaaaaaah! Any and all help will be much appreciated.

I think it's called a series because each chapter has it's own heading, I didn't get the impression that there were more stories after the one unfinished one. I've noticed that some authors works posted at impisheyes are called 'series' but the entire series is posted under the one heading also. Not every one, but a few of them.

I'm not familiar with her work, I just found that fic list when I was searching for something else and decided to make sure I had copies of all of the stories in case they disappear before I can read them. I'll keep a look out for more from her now.

Okay, I just found the entire series. Apparently the one I linked to was where Spike comes in or something. Anyway, there are other parts but I think the Spike part of it all is the greatest part of it at first glance.

It looks good. I'm gonna go make sure I have everything. The story I linked to above seems to have been number three in the series of six separate stories in the series, Hell on Wheels. At least that's where the one I linked to starts. There are two before that and three after that.

Okay, there are six parts, and parts one and two are short and before the one I posted. Parts three thru six are included in the one at impisheyes that I posted and it stops there unfinished. So that's six parts, three thru six at impisheyes, and parts one thru six at the second website I gave above. And I've found nothing else under her name anywhere so far.

Buffy and Spike Meet in LA after S2

Hi. I'm also looking for post-Becoming fics -- specifically dealing with Buffy and Spike meeting in the summer after S2 while Buffy is working as a waitress in LA. I read EnigmaticBlue's "Unsuffer Me" (mentioned above) which is truly excellent; there is also a sequel which I found tonight, after having missed it the first time.

I'm the one that posted this topic on the weekend, but I must have posted it in the wrong place or something because the thread was deleted and unfortunately I had not read all the stories people had kindly recommended. If anyone can remember what they were, specifically, that would be much appreciated. The only one I got the chance to read was "Dreams and Desotos"
