Spike's demon falls in love with buffy

Hi, I'm looking for fics where Spike's demon feels drawn to Buffy and possible starts to fall for her, but Spike himself is still denying it.

or something along the lines where Spike's demon feels connected to Buffy so he can't kill her (e.g. in S2)

also i prefer completed fics too if you've got some.. so any suggestions? thanks!

You can try Soulmates by Miranda. I'm not sure if you can find it at any of the major Spuffy sites but you can try the following (I had to put in spaces to the link as I'm not able to put in a proper link as I'm not a member, so just take them out):-

A basic summary is: set in season 5 - Spike visits Tara and Willow's magic tent at the campus for a laugh but gets a strange reading from Tara that unbeknownst to him may mean that he is Buffy's soulmate.

I've just remembered you could also try In Harm's Way by dawnofme at Elysian Fields, the summary is:- Season four story starting with a re-write of "Harsh Light of Day". Harmony is fed up with Spike's obsession over the Slayer. With the help of another vampire, Harmony casts a spell that will change the course of events and does exactly the opposite of what Harmony was hoping for. Spells, the Initiative and other problems plague our heroes as they fight an attraction that can't be denied.

You could also have a look at the fics by dreamweaver at the same site, a few I would highly recommend are:

A Different Light - Summary: During the fight for the Gem of Amara, Buffy and Spike get pulled into another dimension.

Change Partners and Dance - Summary: What if when Buffy first arrived in Sunnydale, instead of a souled Angel meaning to help her, she was faced with a soulless Spike, looking to cause trouble and kill his third Slayer?

Her Way - Summary: After Spike burns up in the Hellmouth, Buffy demands that the Oracles send her back in time.

Changes - Summary: This is fluff, a sequel to "Her Way", a romp through all the changes everybody has to go through once Buffy and Spike claim each other.

Payback - Summary: On his way back to Dru after 'Lover's Walk', Spike suddenly finds himself transported to his crypt the night after 'Smashed'. Horrified that he, a master vamp, should have been tamed and furious at how he's been treated, he blames Buffy for everything and is determined to pay her back in spades.

Also, here at this site there is a brilliant piece by Spikes KittyKat called Claimed: The Price of a Mark, it is not yet complete but apparently is almost done (so far there are 27 chapters). The summary is: Thanks to a night of passion Angel is now Angelus. Buffy might deal with the consequences of her actions but cannot do so alone. The only one who can help her is Spike who seems to have all the answers.

You might like to also try Dreams and Desotos by Bloodshedbaby at Elysian Fields, summary: An alternate end to Becoming where Spike and Buffy leave Sunnydale together and wind up in a small New England town where nobody knows their secret identities. But the past has a way of finding them when they least expect it.

I hope you like these!! Just a small warning some of them are NC-17 however if full-on intimate scenes aren't your thing you can easily skim over them and read the rest of the story as all of these stories have brilliant storylines.

I never read Soulmates by Miranda and I give it lots of stars! I wish it had some sort of follow up like a sequel or a one shot. Great twist on Souls!!!! Very creative! Only issue I had with it, is Angelus and Angel being two different beings. I'm still unsure of them being different. I'd agree if they used a different soul then. My pet peeve lmao! That's my only issue with it. Fabulously written though, and definitely recommend! It was very touching in a particular part.

I would also check out a lot of SinisterChic's stories. Terrific stories featuring Spike's demon in love with Buffy too!

I would definitely check out Identity Crisis, Deep Inside, and Eclipse of the Heart. Quite possibly Time Spinners and The Protectors. Out of all of these though, Identity Crisis fits the most!
