I think you'll love both of these fics that I'm about to refer. They're both written by Eurydice, who is above and beyond one of the best writers for the Spuffy fandom EVAR. The first fic takes places in 1940, is rated NC-17, and is AU all human. It's called By Rook or By Crook. The second is also NC-17, takes place at some point in the '40s, and Buffy and Spike are still Slayer and Vamp. It's called Rhapsody In Oil.

Spike, in the meantime, is a bookie who works for Angel(us) and watches Buffy from afar. Spike Giles harbors a 'love' for Buffy Summers, but there is the matter of his cousin? Also, Spike doesn't feel worthy of Buffy. There's lots of angst ahead for our Spuffy couple, but true love will prevail, right? Starts mild, with Buffy/other pairing, but not graphic. Will be NC-17 in places (it's Spuffy sillies!)


I've read those some time ago (2005) and as far as I remember they were good.
