Not sure if there's already a thread for this, but I'm just looking for some long, well-written fics. I don't particularly mind what the category is eg baby fics, time travel fics etc. Just something long and very good. If anyone could suggest anything, I'd very much appreciate it.

Most of the fics written by Eurydice would fit your requirements. You can find her fics on Elysian Fields, and she specializes in long and well-written. Just to name a few off the top of my head:

My personal favourites are the Yellow Brick Road series, Dreamscape, In Omne Tempus, The Writing on the Wall.

All of her fics are amazing and very well written, these are the longer ones. I have to admit I read several of her fics more than once... or even twice.

Since SMac won't blow her own horn, I will recommend her now 81 chapter WIP The Song Remains The Same here at SR.
The top ten section on the menu has the top ten longest fics on SR.

The story can be found at Elysian Fields and on KnifeEdge's LiveJournal. At over 360,000 words I think it qualifies as long, plus it's a totally awesome fic. Really well written and thought out.
