Interesting story. Is this going to be completely in POV like Spike telling the story or was this the lead in? That last few sentences also leads me to thinking this isn't so much Spuffy as it is a Spike story - which is cool, cuz gotta luv Spike. Just curious since you say it's not gonna be a happy ending does this have any Spike and Buffy at all? Don't get me wrong totally love how you started this story. Sounds like Spike in every way. Btw - Will we learn who he is talking to, besides us of course? How far in the future he is? Will you update it on a regular basis?

I know lots of questions because this had me questioning my own questions and wondering where this was going. I know you state this is Not a love story. It is very well written, though. I just hesitate because of the non Spuffiness of it of course. Will this be like canon where Buffy still doesn't want anything to do with him, if so then that's cool. Then I understand it a bit more. I just know that being a Spuffy fan and so not liking most of canon with the non-Spuffiness that I prefer reading the Spuffy love along with story heehee.

This is an amazing start and so very curious where this is going...Can't ya tell, lol? I'm so intrigued I'm asking a million and one questions but yet hesitant because of the non Spuffiness. However, being that it's Spike bring it on, lol. He's all packed with yumminess! It will be interesting to know what Giles has to do with this from your description...Can't wait for an update!

Author's Response: Hi, Glad to know you liked the chapter, even if it did leave you with lots of questions. I don't want to give too much away or make promises that I might not keep but here's what I can tell you so far in answer to your questions: Yes, this isn't really a traditional Spuffy love story. It's definitely more Spuffy in an Odysseus & Penelope kind of way than a Season six type of thing. Some canon will be adhered too. In fact pretty much everything from Season 5, except minus Spike, will be as it was on the show. The entire story will be told from Spike's POV but not always in first person. I will do my best to update it regularly but it probably won't be first priority until I finish my other fanfic. A bit of writer's block and this story's persistence in my head have lead me to posting it sooner than I intended. As for you other questions (Who is he talking too? When is he?), those will be answered in the fic itself. ^^ I hope this helps your confusion a bit and I hope that you decide to stick with the story too.
