away. Years later Buffy returns, but is William still in love with her?

*Chapter 1*
12th October 2005
16 year-old Buffy Summers rolled over and looked at her boyfriend Liam
sleeping.
He was her first serious boyfriend and she swore to the gods he loved her
as much as she loved him.
Buffy smiled as Liam twitched his nose in his sleep.
Leaning over she pressed a chaste kiss on his lips, William stirred and
his eyelids flew open to reveal chocolate brown eyes that were full of
sleep.
"Liam baby, my mum's here to pick me up, I have to go home." She said with
disappointment clear in her tone.
Liam frowned and kissed Buffy passionately before she got up from the bed
they were previously occupying and gathered her stuff.
'One day her mum will come to her senses and let her stay over'
Liam thought.
Buffy looked over sadly at Liam and sighed. Why couldn't her mum
understand, Buffy had told her time and time again that she wasn't ready
for sex with Liam but her mum still says no at the prospect of a
sleepover? Liam understood, deep in his heart Buffy wasn't ready for sex
although he was but he would support Buffy's decision every step of the
way.
"Goodbye baby, I'll see you on Sunday." Liam gave Buffy a peck on the lips
and she climbed down the ladder of his attic bedroom and down the stairs
where her mum was talking to Liam's dad Ethan.
"Did you have a good time hunny?" asked Joyce as Buffy slowly climbed in
the car.
"A great time." and with that Buffy fell asleep with her hands resting
under her head as they made their way back home.
10 Months Ago
' Buffy and Cordelia linked arms and walked into the Bronze where Anya had
invited them earlier that day. Anya yelled their names and they went and
stood by the table that held loads of people some of which they didn't
know. "Ok girls you know Fred, Tara, and Anya. And these are the guys,
Liam, Riley, Wesley, William and Xander." Faith yelled over the loud
music. Buffy and Cordelia smiled. William caught Buffy's eye and smiled.
Buffy blushed.
Suddenly screaming started and Buffy looked at the stage. She gasped. Her
favorite local band; Abandoned Fairground was starting to play on stage.
*"I know I am not the only girl who’s fallen in love with you,
You've got them all over you,
I'd be surprised if you noticed me,"*
Riley walked up to Buffy. "Um hey Buffy, you wanna dance?" Buffy nodded
and smiled and Riley led her to the dance floor where he rested his hands
on the small of her back and she put her arms around his neck. Buffy
thought it was an uncomfortable fit but pretended she was happy for his
sake.
*"But why does it have to be me who’s the up one now,
Just because I'm outta your league,
You could say I once in a while,
My hearts been set on you right from the start,

Buffy looked at the table where Cordelia, William and Anya were sitting.
Anya and Liam appeared deep in conversation and Cordelia was just laughing
at what they said to each other.
Cordelia and Buffy took a break and went to the bathroom to cool off.
"Hey Buffy, don't you think that Liam totally looks like that actor David
Boreanaz!"
Buffy just laughed and looked at her reflection in the mirror.
On the way home in the car Cordelia looked at Buffy, "You didn't know that
Liam totally has the hots for Anya did you?" Buffy just shook her head.
Cordelia's phone started suddenly vibrating. "Ooh text message
from...Anya," Cordelia gasped and laughed.
Buffy frowned "what is it Cordy?"
"Anya just told me that Riley is very much into you!"
Buffy gasped. "Don't lie Cordelia!"
"Buffy, i swear I'm not lying. Anyways like Anya would ever lie."
Buffy raised her perfectly plucked eyebrow. "I suppose."
"Anyways. You are in need of a boyfriend. Riley looks like potential
boyfriend material don't ya' think?"
Buffy frowned and rested back on her seat.'
"Buffy hunny, wake up, we're home!!"
Buffy opened her eyes, yawned and got out the car.
'Why can't my mum just understand!'
Buffy fell asleep as soon as her head hit her fluffy feather pillows.
'Buffy and Riley walked around Sunnydale town hand in hand while Anya,
Cordelia and Liam walked behind telling each other jokes.
"So Buffy, what kinda music do you like?" oz asked although Buffy could
tell he was not interested in the slightest.
"Um you know the usual, ska, punk, rock that kinda stuff."
Riley nodded and carried on walking till they found a bench to sit on.
After hours of talking as a group Anya announced she finally had to go
home.
Cordelia nodded. "Yeah Buffy it's getting late, we should start heading
back."
Liam spoke up. "Um we can walk you back if you want; Riley and I are
getting picked up from my nans house which is just up the street from
Buffy's house."
Buffy smiled. "Thanks." The four of them walked to Revello Drive.
Buffy and Riley stopped outside of Liam's Nan’s house.
'Oh god please don’t kiss me, please don’t kiss me.' Buffy thought.
RIley lowered his head and forced his lips on hers pushing his tongue
through the gap Buffy was desperately tried to close. She pretended to
enjoy but quickly pulled away mumbling about needing to get home.
'That was the worst first kiss in my life' she thought as she made her way
inside.
The next day at school Buffy walked into math and saw Cordelia, Anya and
Tara waving at her. They started cat calling and saying "oooh Riley" in a
very cooey voice. Buffy just laughed and sat in her seat next to her
friend Sarah.
"Who's Riley?" Sarah asked with a smile playing on her face.
"The boy who fancies me." Buffy said simply without any facial expressions
what-so-ever.
Sarah dropped the subject and they shifted in their seats to listen to Mr.
Bowman the math teacher. '
Buffy shot up in bed dripping with sweat. Why was she dreaming of her
past?
She loved Liam and dreaming of her days with Riley was not going to help
their relationship grow. Being Buffy however, she always believed dreams
happened for a purpose and she was uncomfortable with the fact that she
was having dreams of this nature.
She put it off as finally being over Riley and fell back into a deep
sleep.
Buffy walked into Sunnydale High School on Monday morning to be greeted by
Liam.
"Hey babe" He greeted her with a fiery kiss on the lips.
Buffy giggled into his mouth at the sensations they had together just by
kissing.
"Love you Liam."
Liam raised an eyebrow but smiled. "Love you to Buffy!"
Liam looked in the mirror one morning and decided that he was tired of
being a virgin, he wanted sex with Buffy now and it was finally time he
did something about it.
He grabbed his coat and went to meet his friends at the park for a little
social gathering.
"Hey man" Gunn shouted as Liam sat down in their usual smoking spot.
Liam nodded around the circle.
Gunn lent over and handed Liam a fag and a lighter. As Liam sparked up,
William curiously looked at him and simply muttered, "You and Buffy had
sex yet?"
Liam coughed as he breathed in too much of the smoke and glared daggers at
William.
"I'll take that as a no then."
"I told you man, Buffy ain't a hundred percent ready."
William raised an eyebrow. "But you are?"
Liam smiled. "One hundred percent man and soon Buffy will be to."
William shook his head.
As Buffy sat in English Lit she found herself nodding off the droning beat
of the professors voice and the warm april breeze.

'Buffy sat oppositte Liam under a tree where they where supposed to be
meeting the rest of the gang on saturday afternoon.
"So..." Liam began making sure Buffy was looking at him. "...Gunn told me
that you fancied me, i was just wondering if it was true?"
Buffy's eyes widened and she was about to say no but then she remeber what
her good cousin Katie had told her when she had split up with Riley, 'pick
one of his friends!!!'
"What if i said that i did fancy you?" She replied flirtingly.
Liam's face split into a huge grin. "That would be cool because i fancy
you to."
Buffy managed to stop her mouth forming a tunnel and grinned.
But then she heard Liam calling her name....

"BUFFY SUMMERS!!!!!!!!!" the Lit. Professor screamed in her face, beads of
spit hitting Buffy in the eye.
Buffy's eyes burst open and she turned crimson as the whole room was
staring at her and the sweat, again dripping off her face.
The bell rang and Buffy ran from the classroom only to smack into a figure
standing in the doorway. Buffy looked up and gasped as she saw Riley
towering above her.
She grabbed her bag and ran again till she finally came to the lockers
where she was due to meet Liam
"Hey babe." Liam greeted her with a kiss on the cheek. "You feeling ok?
you look a little pale."
"Im fine honey i promise." Buffy pasted a smile on her face and linked
hands with Liam and they walked to the cafeteria for lunch.
Liam turned to Buffy as they sat down. "Hey as it's my mums birthday on
tuesday, she was wondering if you wanted to stay, although it would have
to be in Dawn's room."
"I'll see what my mom says ok?"
Liam nodded, "Sure baby."
Buffy stared at her jello and remember the time she had met Liam's family.

Liam dragged Buffy into the front room.
"Mum, Dad, Maggie, this is my girlfriend. Buffy. Buffy this is my mum
Maggie, Dad Ethan and little sister Dawn."
"Hey," Buffy said suddenly shy of her surroundings.
"Nice to meet you dear." said Maggie not even looking at Buffy as she
spoke.
It turns out that Dawn was 4 years younger than Spike and Buffy and a
proffesional gymnist. Dawn turned her nose up at Buffy and finished off
her chips.
Buffy suddenly became very very shy and thought to herself that she wanted
out as quickly as possible.
26th December 2006
Buffy sat facing Liam in his bedroom.
"Oh no...this is it. This is when im going to lose my virginity!"
