Buffy drifted back to sleep after Faith’s phonecall Saturday morning and didn’t wake again until after 2 o’ clock. Finally fully awake, she thought back on the conversation she’d had. Maybe I was a little hard on her. I mean she’s my Faithy, I know she can be a little self-centered and A LOT selfish but she probably doesn’t mean it. I’m sure she just didn’t realise how serious I was about him. She wouldn’t’ve done it on purpose, would she? Nah, if she knew she wouldn’t have done it. Spike on the other hand should’ve known better.
Decisions made, Buffy got out of bed. She’d call Faith, explain and appolagise. Come Monday though, Spike’d be sorry he messed with her.
Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit. Shit.Oh fuck, what am I gonna do? Spike knew Faith almost as well as he knew Buffy. He’d also noticed how bad faith seemed to have it in for his little Goldilocks. Doubt she’s your anything anymore mate
Buffy never listened to anyone who mentioned it but everyone knew, Faith hated Buffy. Well maybe hate was a little too strong but she seriously disliked her. Buffy just couldn’t see it. To her they were best friends, had a special bond she said no-one else could understand because they were cousins aswell as friends. But anyone looking at them could see how little Faith really cared about Buffy. No-one knew the reasoning behind it, maybe Faith was just really that much of a bitch or maybe something happened that no-one heard about, but for as long as anyone could remember, Faith had treated Buffy badly. She was constantly putting Buffy down; her clothes weren’t good enough or her hair looks awful or was she getting fat? For some reason Buffy just took it all with a shy little smile. If Buffy liked a guy, Faith had him within a day.
This was how things went until Spike Pratt came along. He had moved to town three months before and the minute he laid eyes on Buffy Summers, he knew he had to have her. He made his intentions known within days of arriving in Sunnydale and Buffy was clearly unopposed. Of course, the minute Faith got wind of this, she was all over him. However unlike every other dumb jock she’d tried this on, Spike didn’t fall over the minute the curvy brunette flashed some cleavage. He politely told her he was interested in her cousin. Faith only became more persistent and he eventually told her where to shove it. Faith fumed at the fact that anyone would chose the little blonde woman over her and started planning a revenge that she was only starting to put into motion with the stunt at cordy’s party.
Spike knew all about the relationship between the two girls. Spending as much time with Buffy as he had, he’d picked up on a few things. After the first big argument Faith stopped openly trying to grab his attention, but if he was hanging out with the girls and Buffy left them alone for even a minute Faith was all over him. He knew she was trying to get him away from Buffy, what he couldn’t figure was why. At first he found the dark-haired woman's attention amusing but after a week or two he got sick of it. He tried to talk to Buffy about it but she got angry at him for suggesting “her best friend” would be trying anything on with a guy she was dating and didn’t talk to him for a week. Only after Spike apologized and said he must have read the situation wrong would Buffy speak to him again.
Knowing Faith,she’ll already have rang Buffy and told her I came onto her or somethin’. That I wouldn’ take no for an answer. I knew that bitch was plannin’ somethin’.
Ever since the fight between him and Buffy he’d been very careful to stay away from Faith. He may not have been around long but he could tell she was scheming against his golden girl. Buffy clearly couldn’t though. She seemed to have a blind faith in her cousin that he just couldn’t understand. No matter what Faith did to her, Buffy always said she didn’t mean it or she didn’t realise what she was doing. It really hurt him that Faith wa manipulating buffy so badly and he couldn’t help. He’d been waiting for this to blow up in his face.
Well how ya gonna talk your way outa this one, huh? It’s not like Faith held your mouth open and poured the whiskey down, same as she didn’t tie you up to make out with ya. Your not exactly guilt free here.
Ya but I was upset, she said she’d be there.
And if Buffy made-out with Captain-Forehead and said “but you said you’d be there”?
Oh shut up!
You can’t tell me shut up, I’m part of you, you idiot!
I can tell you whatever the bloody hell I like!
You just don’t wanna hear the truth.

Sick of hearing how wrong he was, Spike blocked out his conscience and started trying to think of a way to fix it all.
Faith hit the red button on her cell phone, ending the call. Ya B’s mad now, but give her two hours ta wallow ‘n’ she’ll be running to appolagise. Dunno why everyone thinks the little bitch is so perfect, she can’t even see when she’s bein’ played
Faith was so sick of Buffy. Little Miss Perfect was just the light of everyone's life. She had everything, perfect family, perfects friends and everyone just loved her. She was everything Faith wasn’t and she had everything Faith wanted. I’m gonna set that little cow in her place once and for all
Oh people thought Faith was treating Buffy badly before? Well they aint seen nothin’ yet. Stealing bleach boy is nothin’ to what I’m gonna do to that girl.
A/N So yes, Faith may come off a little unhinged, and I’m sure we’re all wondering how Buffy could be missing this, but it’ll all be explained in time. You just gotta remember Buffy sees them almost as sisters, she refuses to see anything Faith does as on purpose because if her sister can hurt her that badly on purpose, anyone can. (yes Buffy has major issues lol) Sorry for the big long a/n, I just didn’t want people to start yelling at Buffy for being stupid and such!
