I like this story so far. It gives an interesting perspective on how Buffy might have felt after she came back. I think the writing is beautiful and sophisticated, but sometimes excessively wordy. Keep in mind that there's a difference between eloquent and excessive.



Another point on that same note, indefatigable is a bit archaic and I doubt most of your readers will have any clue what it means. If your goal is to make them grab a dictionary, I'm sure you'll succeed in that. I noticed a few typos and run-on sentences, but no major problems. I advise that you properly separate your dependent and independent clauses for a smoother flow.

I know that it takes other people to point out flaws and I'd rather have them pointed out to me then never improve. So, I will do my best to follow your advice and try to make less with the wordiness and and more with the grammar. I appreciate you pointing this out to me, especially so early on, so that I can (hopefully) make reading the rest of the story a more enjoyable experience. Thank you for your insight.

Okay, so I just had to leave another. Out of curiosity I went and read all of the other reviews, and they made me giggle a LOT, but I have to say I agree... Buffy definitely has her work cut out for her here. Because of Cecily, William is now a damaged man. He thinks lowly of himself and she's led him to believe that he needs her. I seriously hope that Buffy can turn this around for him, as well as his sex life (cuz I know we're ALL waiting for that!). Also, I wouldn't oppose to a bitchfight between Buffy and Cecily ;P That would be most entertaining (just food for thought). Tee hee! Looking forward to the next chappy. :D

Well I think it's cute, but a tad unrealistic. Firstly because Dawn wasn't 18 in season 6. She was still a sophomore in high school actually... In season 7 she was a junior. Also I think if Buffy caught Dawn having sex with anyone, let alone a demon, she would totally flip out. I definitely don't think she would allow said demon to come back to her house and sleep there. Also, Dawn has blue eyes, not brown.

In one of the paragraphs toward the end you've got some strange parentheses going on. I'm not sure if that was something a beta did and you forgot to change it, but I thought you ought to know. I noticed that this was rated NC-17, but so far it's only been R. If the sex isn't going to actually be described, you should consider changing the rating. But other than that, I think this is a cute story so far. Off to read the rest!

Life got really tangled and crappy and eh, the fandom had to be put on hold for a bit (with the exception of SOME immature indulging...hey, I'm only human =P) Regarding your first paragraph, I put this fic at AR because of the age difference so that was a given. Additionally, I agree that it was probably a tad OOC and I'm totally with you there. Though, said demon IS the reason why she and Spike are a happy couple now. Mhm, mistake on my part. The brunette hair/blue eyes always screws up. Apologies *bows* Strange parentheses, huh? Well, damn. Thank you for pointing that out! I'll definitely get around to fixing that bit up when I get some free time! As for the rating, I prefer to be safe and stick with R unless I absolutely know where I'm going with a story. This way, it's relatively fair to my readers, as well. But you're definitely right in this case; I'll probably switch the general rating right around to NC-17 for all chappies. I think you're doing a good job with this so far. There are a few minor mistakes with punctuation but not enough to become a distraction. It still flows very well. The only thing I would recommend changing would be having Buffy refer to Joyce as "mum." I realize that you probably do that unconsciously, but if you're going to write her true to character then you'll have to write her American. I look forward to seeing where you take this. I'm already wondering what Spike's master plan is :)
