I love this Spike. Little bit evil, but totally nobel and stuff. This is really sad, but I feel the direction it's taking and I believe there will be happiness at the end of a long, hard road.

Woah; nice twist! This is so good it gives me goose-bumps. I'm glad that you haven't written Spike 'instantly good' and Buffy 'instantly trusting'- you're right, it's a lot more believable to have it all happen slowly.

Very beautiful chapter. First there was Spike buying a house for Buffy and himself; indicating a future of togetherness. Then there was the ever-loved Clem [love to see him in fics!] and it was hillarious that you presented him as the demon-cable-guy! Then Buffy's reaction to saying what she thought to be the wrong thing- and Spike's reassurance [ending in tears of his own] was truly the highlight of the chapter.
Like I said: Beautiful.

Oh no! Angel's back and I'm pretty sure Buffy's going to be too terrified to fight. I'm glad Tara noticed the lies in his aura- at least that means she might recognise the honesty and love in Spike's. My hearts beating all fast now- I just want to get on and read the next chapter!!

Oh God, the goose bumps are back. This chapter was even more beautiful than the previous- with Buffy realising her feelings and trust in Spike, just as she was ripped away from him. Lovely but heart-breaking! This is superb in every way.
Plus, kudos for more Clem!

Author's Response: :) And I want to get it written. Don't want to rush it and screw it up, but I have an idea for another story that I think could really be good and I'm gonna write it next. (I have too many ideas..gah! ) I know I have a ton of unfinished WIPs but some of them will have to be completely overhauled. I've been rereading some of my earlier fics and god I can tell I really rushed some of them the writing is horrible. ugh. So I'll probably have to overhaul them. :)
