Amy, thank you for taking the time to explain your side of things on a previous review. But you know what? You shouldn't have to. Seriously. What you're doing is magnificent, and if someone has issues with what you are doing, then that's their problem. As far as Angel goes? I know very little of what events actually took place because quite frankly the series bugged the bejeeses out of me, so thank you for giving us a better series of events to read!!!

Since it is my fic With a Rebel Yell under discussion, i figured I better step here. I'm going to be honest, when i saw this fic up, my first thought was WTF? A Billy Idol fic using a song as the title? Had a wicked case of suspicious about it. But after reading it, I KNOW there are not any similarities aside from the music, Billy Idol and a similar title. But here's the thing. I will admit to anyone who asks that my plot bunny came from Vamptastica. She knows it, I know it, anyone who has read chapter 2 knows it. ----AUTHOR'S NOTE- this story came about from reading 80's Night by Vamptastica and my 6 yr old daughter making me listen to Billy Idol in the car over and over and over. ----- And in defense of Tam, she is one of my friends and my beta which makes her very protective of my fics, which is why it bothered her to see my somewhat original (but not entirely) fic arc infringed upon. And yes, she does write and very well. And she didn't flame, didn't criticize, merely voiced an observation, one that I had noted for myself.
Summary: What if Buffy was never the Slayer? What if she never lived the life that she was supposed to? In fact, what if Buffy was the child of Angel and Darla? The daughter of two vampires- sent to Sunnydale, when it’s discovered that it’s safer for her to be away from the dangers her father must face everyday. Like the dream and the canon aspects mixed with the AU. The fact that death was her gift was a good plot arc. You don't need to post an authors note though if you aren't able to post, completely unneccesary. People will wait and it can sometimes turn people OFF of a fic if it happens too often. I'm only mentioning it because I don't want that to happen to you. Hope to see an update soon!
