I can't believe I've only just found this excellent fic!
I just love the whole Slayer School thing, and Xander becoming Watcher junior. So glad both he and Giles have come to terms with Buffy & Spike being together.. and may I say ouch on Spike's behalf? Why on earth doesn't he just tell Buffy what he's thinking? Poor girl... Xander's right, he should tell the doc too, she prolly hasn't connected up all the parts... might not realise they need to be connected...
I expect Dawn will sort him out.

What a difference it made to Buffy with Joyce being still alive. In the series I really feel she began falling apart when Joyce died, rather than when she was brought back.

This is an intriguing reworking of the end of season 6 and season 7. I liked the way you didn't change anything major, just the relationship between Buffy & Spike.

I love the way you've allowed Spike and Buffy to develop a solid trusting friendship and true respect for each other before involving them in a sexual relationship. Oh very nice. I love how the repulsive practice kissing managed to become 3 hours of hot sex LOL I'll be looking forward to teh sequel and the result of Buffy having the anti magic amulet... could be a problem in 'primeval' though...
Summary: Angelus decides to take Buffy back to the mansion to begin his revenge upon the Slayer who made him feel human. Captive Buffy gets a close-up introduction to this dysfunctional vampiric "family" that gives her new insight into Angel(us) as well as Spike.

How wonderful for Buffy to be able to accept at last what a mirage her 'great love' was. The pompous emotional coward that was Angel. Why should he be the one who should decide that she needed 'normal'? All he did was seduce a vulnerable 16 year old then walk out on her leaving her emotionally scarred.
I love that she has at last been able to see how perfect Spike is for her. Would love to see how your interpretation of her welcome of 'souled Spike' when he comes back differs from the series.
