Very nice. Loved the Buffy dialogue especially. Optimistic ending, too.
Summary: Buffy is in Rome, Spike is in LA and both of them think they are dealing well with the 'moving on' thing. Ha! As if it was that easy.

Dancing was fun... loved Spike's "I got to put my hands all over her hot little body" comment; I thought the description really rang true to, uh, *ahem* Buffy. I hope the ending doesn't make things too angsty and dark, I really like the whole normal high school appeal of this fic. Thanks for writing this.

The Spike/Buffy scene was good, especially the hand part and how Buffy's somewhat unsure of herself. It's like they're in opposites roles from before, since this is more of his world than hers now. Opened up a lot of nice plots with the Xander dialogue, too. Great job.

I'm very much liking the Spike/Buffy dialogue; it just has a really nice "feel" to it, like Buffy wants to have that enormous impact she had on Spike before but she fears he's moved on. I'm glad we've gotten caught up on a few notable people. Another interesting aspect of this story is how few people Buffy knows, because most of them have died in the time she was away. I'm loving the Jesse ogling and the "way to go, Dad!" look; great start for the character. :) Any Angel on the horizon?

Wonderful story! I laughed out loud several times. The Riley/Buffy scene was just PERFECT, it captured the awkwardness of teenage sex with startling accuracy. Really made me get all introspective and philosophical about the topic, and I don't normally think openly like that in fanfic (great thing, though). It's hilariously funny (and quite the turn on) that Buffy's paying Spike to give him a blowjob. That has to be every man's wet dream, hahaha. But this chapter is really a winner, especially with the great portrayal of Buffy's nervousness and inexperience, something almost everyone feels at some point in their life. Great work, and I look forward to more.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for this review...I tried hard to capture that inexperience factor without making her seem too young. Writing the scene with Riley was fun because my challenge was to make it as awkward and unsexy as possible, to contrast with all things Spuffy. Thanks again for reading...I hope you'll continue!

Can't wait for more. This is a very good story, I'm glad you're taking time to flesh it out and not just jump right to Buffy and Spike in together awkwardness. Mario in blue overalls... sounds familiar. :)
Author's Response: I'm gonna sound really stupid here but... uh? I'm not too sure who you're talking about but I'm curious now :) I actually based the character on a guy I know who is a mechanic for the airline I work for.
I fleshed out the story because I want to try my hand at a more complex storyline. My stories usually have one main plot that involves Buffy and Spike, but I want to try more than one plot that will come together. More trouble thrown their way, if you know what I mean ;)

Thank you for another great chapter. :D I loved the woman in the car with Spike; she was hilarious, especially with the constant spitting. ;) I would assume that the Buffy imposter will be the person that gets turned into the military, but that's only a guess. I can see how Spike would get upset when he saw Buffy but knew she wasn't really Buffy. I wonder where Buffy is? Oh, and Buffy has green eyes, not hazel eyes. They appear more brownish when lighting is low, bluish when it's very bright. It's one of those things that took me a while to figure out; I always thought her eyes were hazel, too. It's really easy to see when she has brown hair, though; the hair color brings out her eyes much more. Not that the whole blonde haired green eyed look isn't awesome, too. ;)

About Sarah Michelle's eyes... Don't really want to get into a discussion about her eye color, but for the sake of arguing, and because I'm a big geek and started doubting myself ;) I checked on the internet for the definition of Hazel. It is used in North America to describe eyes that change color in different lights, going from light brown, to green, and sometimes blue. But who cares, right? She's hot one way or another :D Thanks for your review.

Wonderful, wonderful premise; looking forward to more. I see that in your mind Buffy kinda cared for him in season six sometimes, and I can think that when I'm more optimistic about their relationship. I'm really interested in the new girl and the way you display Buffy's jealousy, since in probably one of her most honest moments in season six Buffy said she was jealous of Spike being with a girl at the wedding, but didn't do anything to feed off of that jealousy. Great story, great premise, looking forward to more. :)
