Love the fainting! I have to say I'm a little disappointed that it's been 5 years. I always get a little sad when I read stories where a good guy misses out on the beginning of his child's life b/c a girl was too scared to tell him when she first found out. I'm gonna guess she's not gonna be exactly forthcoming now either especially when she realizes he's there for Harmony! I hope when Spike eventually finds out he gets at least a little angry since he has every right to be. Then I hope for an ending that makes it all worth it!
Author's Response: I thought of the fainting at the last minute, and thought it would serve as a good cliffhanger. Tee hee. I'm still thinking about how to play out the conversation when she wakes up. Hmm... and yeah, it is sad that he missed all the baby stuff. It's not meant to be a sad fic though so there will be more happy moments and hope for the future.

Oh God, teenage Angel! There are very few fics I have read where this is a good thing ,and it sounds like the same here. The Willow freakage is kinda strange since it seems like Buffy never intended for things to turn out quite like this. Like the Buffy and Spike interaction even if it was rudely interrupted by an "Irish" teenager who undoubtedly has a large forehead!
Author's Response: Is a fic a fic without Angel? lol As far as Willow and her freaking out. It wasn't just the hair, really it wasn't the hair. It Buffy's whole about face from eveything that she used to be, and count what Willow over heard of Buffy agreeing to lie to her parents to go to a party, look at the hair being the straw that broke her back. Nice chapter! A lot happened, and you kept me guessing from one scene to the next. Love that he was just compelled to kiss her! Poor Jesse though. I hope he at least gets a friend out of this since Buffy seemed to think he'd get along with Xander. Speaking of Xander, how is it that other girls even accept that he hangs out in their restroom? Had a couple lines I loved too like "Think all that gel has finally gone and ate you brain.” and "Ewww! Tall, dark, and foreheadsome was checking her out. Not of the good!" Love it! Update soon!

I find myself appreciating the relationship I had with my mom in high school more every time your Joyce shows up. I'll have to remember to thank her tomorrow! That confession came a little too soon for me. I felt like it was something they both should have carried around and felt guilty for. Either way Will and Buffy both have reasons to be upset here even if Will isn't willing to admit that yet. I mean, his secret did lead to Buffy having sex with a strange man! Want to see what happens next!

Huh? What? Did I read that right? I don't know where I thought you were headed with this chapter but that wasn't it! Love that this is from Buffy's POV! There were some great lines in here too..."But denial is an old and dear friend of mine, especially when the world's about to end." and "A look I thought of as “Crazy in the High School Basement.” and all of this "The point is, I like poetry, and so I became an English major. Loved this chapter! Glad to see spike standing up for himself, giving Buffy an ultimatum. I think black and white, this or that is the only way to get through to Buffy, and it clearly has her rattled to think she might actually lose him. That total unloading of unspoken feelings and truths on Willow was unexpected but very welcome! Yes, it was brought about by Buffy's own inner turmoil but much of that turmoil can be traced back to Willow. Especially loved the bit about the freeloading. Guessing ( and hoping) there is Tara insight in Buffy's future!
