Perfect! That was the right place and a great way to end this fic. I agree that more angst would have taken something away from the story. There was just the right amount of angst and more than enough good to make up for it! Great story!

Loving this story! I have a little bit of trouble believing that Spike's demon would treat Buffy so horribly. It seems to be feeding off of Buffy's already present guilt and making her suffer for causing Spike to be less than the demon he once was. I can't help but wonder if perhaps the absence of his demon is the cause for his amnesia. Hope things start looking up soon!

What exactly did this spell do? I know there were important consequences if Spike got back his memories this way but this seems like more than just the return of his memories. William was right about not having what made Spike Spike,Buffy has that! Hope everything gets figured out soon!

The spell was dessignated to return Spike's essence to him - which in turn would lead to Buffy being fully exposed to the First. Dundadun...

I've read most of your other stories, but I was really unsure about this after the prologue. You reeled me in with this chapter! Love the annoying Buffy in Spike's head! It was mostly the mutually shared dream that did it though. Excited for the next chapter now that Spike's awake!

Dumb girl! If she knew anything about Spike she would know that the need to go to Buffy will only make him work harder to get well enough to do so. Plus, he's already starting to get those feelings like he's forgetting something important. Alanna seems a little too attached to Spike considering he just woke up. I suspect that's going to become more important as this fic progresses!
Author's Response: Alanna's coming from the idea that he's going to go period, even if he can't walk. That Spike wouldn't stick around long enough to actually get better. And all will be revealed in time (cue mystical music.)

I really liked the whole scene between Buffy and Will. You could see the unspoken feelings through their actions even without the knowledge that they felt that way. The pregnancy was expected after all the clues in the chapter, but I'd like to see what happens next!
