Dude! That's the best kind of cliffhanger. As always, Cordy is hilarious. I love that Buffy had the courage to start the conversation - even if she didn't actually say much, it was huge for her to even attempt it. But then she just walked away! I just sat here and glared at my monitor for a bit after reading that. *shakes head* But Spike will figure out what to do next. I'm SO looking forward to The Ball.

It took a lot of courage on Buffy's part to have that conversation with SPike, but of course it means that she's getting ready to take that plunge. As for her walking away, well - typical thinky Buffy had to process what Spike told her - she's still gunshy despite her feelings. dude, i'm so sorry to hear about the RL madness. if there's anything i've learned it's that all kinds of crazy crap happens to good people. you're in my prayers, and i admire your attitude and strength. hugs and prayers.
Also, interesting development in the story here. i'm not sure how spike will take the whole 'first' thing. i can see him doing some victorious chest beating thing on the inside, but it may also give him pause. (no pausing!) Also loved the physics talk (yes, am physicist) - had never heard of that novel. might check it out. except there's so much awesome fanfic to be read. hmmm ;D
