Oh, this was riveting! You managed to make it horrifying and grotesque. I felt so horrible for all of them with the exception of Wesley, but you maybe even made me feel a bit sorry for him in some twisted way. Well done!

Wesley really does love Buffy in his own deranged way, and he can\'t bear to watch her die, so he concocted this way of killing her while acting out some wish fulfillment on his part. Thanks for the update. I'm curious to know how Tara knew about Giles' diary. I can't wait to find out, if you share that. I'm glad they're getting away from the seriously creepy Wesley. I don't think I've ever read a disturbing Wesley. Well done!
Author's Response: I have been updating like mad, so you may have missed the last chapter. Tara has been using meditation not only to keep her feelings from being dominated by her brother\'s, but she\'s also using it to reach out to the spirit world. Giles\' ghost told her where to find it. If you did read the previous chapter, maybe that wasn\'t clear, it was a big info dump. I\'d love to hear what was unclear and what I need to explain better.

Summary: Begins after ''Hell's Bells'' (S6E16). With the aftermath of the wedding-that-wasn't, Buffy finds Spike, and seeks solace with the vampire. Despite the recent ending of their relationship of sorts, it brings Buffy out of the land of denial, and forces her to admit her true feelings for him. Season 6 finishes up pretty much canon, only non-canon is the Spuffy relationship, which I tweaked (otherwise, it would've been the same as the show, and, well, you've already watched that...) also non-canon main character death! YES! Sorry, death scenes make me enthusiastic... Also, an interesting twist of ''Normal Again'' tweaked to my liking... Enjoy :]
