This would have been a perfect reward for both of them. Each had given so much to the world. It would make sense for the PTB rewarding their champions with a second chance.

So Spike is leaving the business. Wonder what he will do next? Wonder what Buffy will think of his plans?
Summary: Set immediately following Willow's Will be Done spell during Something Blue (season four) and going AU from there. Free will has been returned, everyone's feeling's should be their own and yet Spike is left feeling the pain of a broken engagement. His wounded heart is no secret, but the Scoobies are at a loss to figure out why. Can they find a way to break the spell or will Buffy be stuck with a lovesick vampire sidekick?

Going down fighting was the best end for our heroes. I'm sure they had the time of their lives. Doesn't mean they don't show back up again. Death doesn't seem to stick to these two.
Author's Response: LOL Here I was, worrying that I was going to get flames for killing off Spike and Buffy, and mostly what I\'ve got has been a refusal to believe they\'re really gone. :) Which is good, I guess, if I ever want to add an epilogue...
