Oh, I totally agree with you about RL. I'm supposed to be on vacation right now, but I left so much work for myself to complete before Wednesday that I may not be able to enjoy the time I have left.
Loved the chapter. Jealous!Spike is delicious especially at the end when he tries to claim Buffy with his lips. I don't think any one of his friends can hope to sway Buffy now.

I love the dynamic Spike's close circle of friends brings to this story. I always wanted him to have his own go-to family without the cruelty. The scoobies never accepted him like these guys seem to do. I look forward to Spike visiting Buffy.

It's really too bad that Buffy and Anya couldn't have been better friends in the series. It probably didn't help that Anya and Spike found solace in each other and that Buffy tried to kill Anya when she went on that frat house rampage, but at least on human terms they have a chance

Well done for a first time writer! I was crying by the end but I tend to do that when the angst reaches a certain level. Seeing things from Buffy's POV was the right thing to do because you captured her stubbornness and her ability to mask the obvious feelings that she tends to hide behind. I tend to skim over lyrics when it's a song fic (I do that with most because I may not know/like the song), but I liked the theme of how it was too late to make it work for them. Bittersweet tale. Keep up with the writing.

This is dirty/sexy/wrong but if you keep it up, I'm sure I'll enjoy the read. Eight years is not an unreasonable age difference considering that they're both hot to trot for each other.
