I'm looking for a fic I completely forgot about until I watched the S4 episode Where the Wild Things Are a few days ago. I'll start by saying THIS ISN'T THIS FIC that i'm after: http://spikeluver.com/SpuffyRealm/viewstory.php?sid=25899 by Jerzeyanjel.

The fic I have in mind may possibly have been a 're-write' of the episode as it featured Buffy and Spike having the sexcapades that fuelled the poltergeists in the frat house.
I'm certain that the fic had more than one chapter.
The fic also involved Riley. Riley was Buffy's boyfriend but I think they were having a bit of relationship trouble (?) so Buffy ended up Playing spin the bottle...Spike was there and they kissed (because of the spin the bottle) but it turned into more with the poltergeist energy and whatnot.
At one point, Riley was banging at the bedroom door trying to rip the vines away when he learnt that Buffy was in there with Spike.
I also distinctly remember the Scoobies having the "it must've been terrible" conversation...and Buffy said yes it was, but really she meant no it wasn't.
Can anyone help?

I think you might be talking about "Possession" by Ameeya (aka Holly), but she turned it into an original story so it's no longer online. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy to send you.

I second this one. I read it not too long ago and remember the things you mentioned.

I've read "Wild Things" and that's not the one I'm after either.
If you're both right about it being "Possession" then I wouldn't be suprised - all the ones I want seem to be withdrawn from the internet!
