I read a fic a long time ago that was going on in high school. Buffy and Spike aren't the best of friends because she is having problems with a stalker. The fic wasn't finished when I read it. I remember the last thing that happened was that Spike heard Buffy yelling and he rushed back into the school and a guy was dragging her off by her feet.

Could it be 'Stalker' by Saber ShadowKitten

It sort of fits, Buffy's the slayer, Spike a vamp. Buffy's in college and Spike lives in the Summers basement, thanks to Joyce. They work together and have a sometimes friendship. Buffy's being stalked it starts out with her getting a letter that only read 'Hello Buffy'.

Not sure if this is the fic but it's the only one I've found where they are both in high school and Buffy has someone stalking her.
