Spike closes portal opened by Dawn, freezes for a long time

Looking for a fic that I think is set in season five, maybe later. Some guys are after the gang, and Dawn accidentally opens a portal and sends the bad guys through. Spike drinks some of Dawn's blood and goes through to close the portal. By the time they reopen it, its been a long time for him in a very cold dimension. He makes Dawn promise to only open portals to places with good beer or similar.

Anybody recognize? Thanks!

I remember something like this. I think there were three artefacts. Buffy had a necklace, Spike a sword (?) and Dawn (?) and together they were a triad that could open dimensional portals. Spike had to drink Buffy's blood so he can go through each time. Together, with scoobies and Giles they were working out how the artefacts worked and what this meant in terms of destiny etc. During the trials, they ended up in a number of different dimensions. In one, Spike was a solid mass of ice having spent eons there before being rescued and in another Buffy & Spike revert to their ancient demons and Buffy's demon had pretty markings all over her body. I am not sure of the title but Coincidences springs to mind.

Sonja is talking about what I'm reading right now All4Spike's No such thing as coincidences series. I'm almost finished with the first one so I can't verify exactly. Not really liking Buffy in this one but the fic itself is great.
