Buffy gets a glimps of Spike's life whether through time travel or he tells her-Spike uses a knife

I didn't really know how to describe this story in the subject line-I think its Fool for Love when Spike is telling Buffy of his past life or maybe not. All I remember is that he didn't grow up with his mother-I think he was a bastard child and he got raped and picked on by the other misfit orphans because he was small and he learned how to use a knife and tried to pickpocket Angelus thus getting his attention and began his vampire life...If anyone remembers this and can help that would be great

Sounds like Green Card by RipeWickedPlum. You can find it on Elysian Field or Sinister Attraction. Buffy has to marry Spike so he can stay in the country and they end up watching a movie on the couch one night when he tells her about his life before he was turned.
