What I remember of this fic is that is AU, all human and a partial high school fic. The partial high school, being that Spike and the gang are seniors, but the fic does not revolve around them being in high school.

Buffy is living with her superstar boyfriend (pretty sure he's a muscian) he's also a drug addict. I think he hits her, and she is fed up so she takes their son, and moves back to Sunnydale where Joyce and Dawn live.

I think her first meeting with Spike happens in the Bronze, where she goes to unwind, and she ends up with him on the balcony, giving him a blow job. She runs off, but they then start a relationship. Not long after her ex-boyfriend comes to town looking for her and hates that she is with Spike and that Spike is playing daddy to his son. He ends up raping her, and then a little ways into the story, Buffy is pregnant again, but isn't sure who the father is. Spike or the ex. At the end of the story, the ex, was driving while high or drunk,ends up getting into an accident that kills him. He leaves all his money to Buffy (which his parents fight her about) and Buffy finds out that he fathered 2 other kids besides the son she has with him.

I also remember a scene where, Spike wants Buffy to live with him, so he takes her to this dingy apartment, and Buffy basically tells him she is too good to live in a dump like that. They have a fight, and she storms out, then Xander and Willow (or maybe Anya) tried to get them to see the others point of view.

I totally know what you're talking about...and seeing your msg makes me want to re-read the story as well.

Was the rockstar ex-boyfriend's name Logan by any chance? Do you remember? I thought if I could confirm that it may help in my searches! (Although everytime I use that as a parameter, I find all of Addie Logan's wonderful work and get sidetracked )

And they all go to the funeral and there's a bunch of paparazzi there too if I'm thinking of the same story right??

Yep that's the right story. I was starting to think I imagined the whole thing. And it's at the funeral where she finds out he had other kids (I believe). Two different women, one ends up being friendly toward Buffy and the other is extremely hostile, and is on Logans parents side. I was going to mention the name of the rockstar but all I could remember wa that his name began with a L, (I kept thinking Luke)

Wow.... guess I threw out a stumper. I have been to so many spuffy sites looking for this it's not even funny. And unless the author didn't have it marked under AU/AH, or had a really vague summary (which I don't think that was the case, cause if the summary isn't enough to grab me, I generally pass on the story) I have no idea where I read it before, other then it wasn't at the BSV, since they don't do All Human fics (unless that rule changed). The only thing I can think of for not finding it by now, is that I read it on a now defunct site , or the author took the work down. Which sucks cause I REALLY wanted to read it again. And doing search params for Logan, pretty much pulls up Addie (who I love, miss and wish she would come back to the fandom). I'm thinking I might have to give this one up as a Cold Case, and hope that if anyone stumbles across it, they remember this post, or message me in a PM about it.

Thank you everyone who has looked and those who have posted, which has assured me that I am NOT crazy and this story DOES exist. Because I was really starting to wonder, lol.

I think that was one of the stories that has been taken down by the author . I use to have it in my favour list but its disappeared .
