I'm looking for fics where Buffy doesn't die in The Gift (and neither does Dawn), preferably because Spike saves them. One-shots are okay, but I'd love it if someone could recommend something long and well-plotted with good character development.

Buffy and Dawn. And it's because a demon has come to town and it's preying on Spike's weakness, and making him feel unworthy. Very good long chaptered fic. But the title and author are escaping me right now.

Just as Buffy discovers her newfound feelings for the vampire, he distances himself from the Scoobies because he feels unworthy. Will Buffy be able to prove him wrong or will the new Evil in town prove him right?


It's a completed multi-chapter (around 73000 words) fic. Loved it the first time I read it and am now going to revisit it and pdf it so I can read whenever
