Spike gets split into three (?) and Buffy loves them all including his demon, there is a magical rod

Hi guys! SO I'm having trouble finding a fic in part because I'm hazy on the details but I think its unique enough that someone may know what I'm talking about. In it Spike gets split sort of like Xander in season 5 and I think at some point there are maybe three of him but they can't really survive that way. Buffy has (at some point) realized she loves them all, even Spike's feral demon side, which loves her too. There is some sort of magical rod of Thoth involved like in the episode "The Replacement" Any ideas?

I actually don't think this is the one I was looking for, I believe in the one I'm looking for Buffy has to become bonded or claimed or something to help Spike and the demon loves her too but is in a cage in the basement at some point. I think that all the Spikes may be in Buffy or in her mind or something at some point. ANy other fix with the Spike, William, Demon concept?

I know of one with Spike split into three, at the end they are in the basement and the Master is attacking Buffy's house.
I haven't read it in ages. So I will have to have a look. Does this sound like the story you are looking for?

I really didn't think it was 'Strip Snap' as all I could remember was William. I went through a heap of fics looking and then finally went back to it and worked from the end. My apologies.
Even the summary doesn't give a hint of where th story really ends up.

Definitely Strip Snap, just checked. That is a good story, haven't read that one in a while. I love the Demon character.
