Step-siblings in New York

Hello,
I have been racking my brain trying to remember the title and author of this human spuffy tale, as well as screening various fanfiction sites. Buffy is living in New York City in a small apartmeent. She works at a store in which Anya is the store manager and a friend. (I think Willow works there too.) Her step-brother Spike, whom she never got along with, winds up crashing at her place for awhile on the couch. (Joyce might have asked her if he could.) They wind up getting close and eventually involved. When they go back to California to visit their parents (Spike's dad Giles is married to Buffy's mom Joyce), the step-siblings inform Giles and Joyce they are a couple. Joyce, putting it mildly, does not take it well, to the point of drinking and blaming Buffy. It's antsy for awhile, but eventually Spuffy prevails. Your help is most appreciated.

PS: it's not Protect Me From What I Want by Rae. That's a great story too, but Protect has Spike crashing in the spare bedroom, and Anya is not Buffy's manager, nor do they have the confontation with Joyce.

		lunna798 OH, wow! That's it! I knew it was by a great writer. I've read all of Addie Logan's stories awhile back, oh so many fictions ago, hence why I couldn't remember the title and author. Didn't help that all the key words I was searching with are nowhere in the description (college, university, New York, NYC, stepsibling, stepbrother, rock band, etc). BTW, thanks for replying so swiftly.
