Spike & Xander friendship?

Well, title pretty much says it all. Anything Spuffy but with some kind of friendship, or something resembling, it with the Xanman?

Here are a few I appreciated and suggest:

Shadows by Kimi (on allaboutspike -- sorry can't post links) in which there there is no real friendship, as Spike isn't all there. But still.
A Stone's Throw from Yesterday by Eurydice (elysian fields) had a really nice Xander voice, I enjoyed it very much.
There is also one I read quite some time ago, but couldn't find anymore, in which Xander and Spike were reliving the same day over and over again, with Spike waking up with an axe protruding from his chest. Set in season 4, I believe...?

Waiting for suggestions! Throw me anything that has the tiniest amount of feeling between those two. No Spander, though, please.

The AU Series 'Unexpected' has a nice bro-mance with Spike and Xander ... eventually. It takes a while, of course, for Xander to come around, but over time they become good friends and have some funny exchanges. It's not centered around that, however, but interspersed within the story.

Just to clarify - The Unexpected Universe is not all Human - it goes off canon at the end of S2 - when Spike helps Buffy defeat Angelus and gets his soul restored along with Angel's. They face many of the same challenges from canon but with a twist - Spike helping.

It's all human, but Speedway by Jypzrose has a good Spike and Xander friendship.

"Here We Go 'Round Again" is a time travel, but still Slayer Buffy/Vamp Spike.

Another one is "Memory Redux", by MadRog. The friendship comes later in the fic, but there is definite Spike/Xander friendship.

Mmm. Maybe "To Be a Kind of Man" by MeganPeta. It's Xander-centric ficlet,and his feelings about Spike post-season, but with a Spuffy ending.

I would NOT say that "Sanctuary" is a "friendly" Spike/Xander bonding fic. It's angsty and dark, but they are friends, and it's very well written. Also, it's all human.

"When Tables Turn" by C. Roxane has some Xander/Spike moments.

"Return to Me" by Jypz has a more accepting Xander.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, sorry I can't help with the last one.

I think the last fic you were looking for is Dispose The Day by Sersi & Cylla. It is over on Bloodshedverse.

Bittersweet by Herself has Xander (and the others) being AWFUL to Spike, but then they all totally come around. It crosses quite the span of years and is really involved, but I distinctly remember loving how the author showed Xander specifically hating Spike only to have them become bestest guy pals. (I get way tired of the over-the-top Xander demonization.)

Buffy the vampire by Spikes_slayer

Set season 5, Very AU Spike is the slayer and Buffy is a vampire. When Dawn is taken by Glory, Buffy and Spike must band together to try and save her but will one off them end up trading their life for hers?

When you say Bittersweet, do you mean that as a story that stands alone or the whole series she is known for?

Bittersweet is an epic series with multiple stories in it. It's amazing. Dark, tho, not fluffy.
