The fic I'm looking for takes place at the new slayer school/headquarters, which is located in the US, I think in the northeast territory, definitely a woodland area that is warded for protection. Buffy has an apartment on the top floor. I remember it being pretty descriptive as to how to get up to it and its interior. Takes place post-Chosen. A party is taking place at the school, and essentially a big reunion of all the good players from both shows turn up (Oz, Robin, Faith, even Riley and Sam turn up). I believe some of the older watchers are uncomfortable because demons such as Spike, Angel, Lorne and even Clem attend. I think there's an exterior terrace to the main auditorium where all the gang goes to hang out away from the watchers and mini-slayers. Eventually, the core gang brings the festivities up to Buffy's apartment that evening or the next morning. Everything is really backdrop for Buffy and Spike as they soft shoe around each other and where their relationship stands (but I think Angel realizes the two of them should be together). I think there is even Joyce, Tara and Anya up with the PTB looking over them all. As I said, it's a reunion of all the good folks, a major feel good piece. Any ideas? |
