I was actually looking for stories like this myself. There are plenty where Spike cheats and realizes it is a mistake but I would like to read any stories where Buffy cheats or leaves Spike and realizes it is a big mistake. I hope someone out there knows if there are any stories out there like this and post it.

Where They Have to Take You In by Herself is part of The Bittersweet Series and has mention of Buffy cheating on Spike. I highly recommend the series.
