Mysterious identity spuffy!

First, I just want to thank everyone that posts recs on the forums. Since discovering the Fic rec section on this site, I have spent the last six months reading a ton of wonderful stories I otherwise would not have found. Thank you all for the wonderful job you do

Now, this may have already been asked, and I apologize if it has. I want to find spuffy stories where Spike is a vampire, but Buffy does not know that he is. Basically, like the first part of the story Sideways by Goldenusagi where Spike is pretending to a human bodyguard. I guess you can say this is also similar to the first part of the Twilight series where Bella doesn't know that Edward is a vampire, but she slowly unravels the mystery (I am making an assumption here, considering I have never read the books in question). I have always been drawn to stories where one character is mysterous and powerful, and the other works through it as they fall for each other.

Anything well written and over twenty thousand words would be greatly appreciated! Also, Buffy can either be a normal human or the slayer, I do not mind. Thank you all very much!

Are you open to a time travel season rewrite? If so you can try What You wished for by Pfeifferpack. Season 4 spike travels back to season 1 and gets involved with Buffy but never tells her he's a vamp. She thinks he's some kind of demon hunter.
