I'm looking for well-written slow long fics with logical development in their relationship. They shouldn't fall into each other's arms at once. Can be canon or AH or AU. No babyfics or marriagefics, please. Fics with relationship dynamics along the lines of "Indigo Overture", "West of the Moon, East of the Sun". Thanks!

He's evil, he's mean, he hates her but even worse... he lusts for her.

Summary: Buffy and Spike share a remote and not so pleasant past. Tentatively friends now, a decade after their paths first crossed, Buffy fears where her burgeoning sexual curiosity and unresolved history with Spike might lead her if she decides to pursue it.



Winters Storm By greyangel

Summary: Angel and Spike are members of a gangster type family ruled over by Masters (in NY) Angel runs the LA branch of the 'family' and after an affair with Buffy he disappears. Masters is furious and is determined to bring his wayward child back to be punished. Spike and Dru are lovers and have been living in NY working for Masters but when Angel vanished he took Drusilla with him...Spike is enraged and seeking revenge...then he discovers Angel's one true love (Buffy) and the perfect revenge is within his grasp...this is a Spike and Buffy story...how hate and revenge turn into lust and desire and finally into trust and love...

I've been enjoying Capella42's fic Easy Way Out, which thus far, has been a nice slow development of trust and friendship between the two starting at the end of S5. It's unfinished but Capella updates fairly regularly.

Is there another sequel to "Forget and Smile" by Miss Murchison? She said there would be in her A/N in the last chapter, but I can't seem to find it.

I don't think there is, she might still be planning it.

KnifeEdge's fics (West of the Moon, and DUST) are excellent, and feature very believable, drawn out relationship developments. (DUST is still WIP) I think they're on this site, but if not, on Elysian Fields for sure.

Anything by Eurydice; the only one that's a baby fic says so, but it's a damn good read anyway.
