Spike comes across a vamped Janice

There is a scene that has been running in my head all day. Spike is driving back into Sunnydale. Just at the border of town, he comes across a trailer. He finds inside a fledgling vamp Janice being used for "suck jobs." He's concerned about Dawn and dusts Janice. I'm not sure if this scene is from a fiction of a rewritten season or Spike thrown into an alternative reality. Can anyone ease my rattled brain and point out the title and author for this fiction?

I think it might be one of Nan Dibble's -- but honestly, I'm not sure which story it is. I do remember reading it, but nothing much else (like title and author) but I'll keep thinking about it, and let you know if I remember.

I think that's a scene in Tempus de Muto by Schehrezade, a WIP here on SR.
