Hi, the fic I'm looking for was set in high school and was all human. I remember a scene in an English class I think, where Giles is the teacher and asks the students to try to write a poem. I have the poem that Buffy wrote here:
The night is dark: the stars are dim The world is stark, cold, grim; No moon sheds light on truth in shadows No warmth softens hidden sorrows. The night is dark: predator hunts prey Softly, the hunted scurries away With nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide They are forced to confront their fears inside.
The sun is bright: the stars are pale Truth hides behind a hidden veil And though all roam without fear Veiled truth brings danger near. The sun is bright: mystery hides In a shroud of Truth, concealing lies Shadow on shadow darkens the ground Though all is illuminated, truth cannot be found.
The night is dark; the sun is bright Truth is found in cool night For though many trust the day In bright, harsh light, Truth runs away.
Also there was another scene where Spike and Buffy are in detention and Giles can't figure out how to use the computer so Spike tries to help him. I think Buffy was more quieter and reserved in this story. Also either Buffy or Spike ended up reading Buffy's poem in front of a crowd of people.
Hope that's enough info, I searched and searched but no luck so hopefully someone remembers this one. |
