I just read a fic where Buffy was living with (police) Spike as she witnessed her boyfriend and best friend being murdered. So it was for protection. This got me thinking about all the green card fics I read years ago - where Spike lived with Buffy and pretended to be married to her (or they actually got married) so he wouldn't be deported to England.

Is there anything similar to these ideas? Where Buffy is forced to live with Spike/Spike is forced to live with Buffy??

One of my all time faves Promise of Frost by Eurydice has Buffy and Spike trapped in a cabin. An amazing read!!

Summary:When a snowstorm strands Buffy and Spike, they are forced to turn to each other for strength, especially when a missing Giles, mysterious visitors, and way too much magic threatens to turn it into a not so very merry Christmas. Set mid-S4.

And last but not least, Murphy's Law by Im_Bloody_English. Buffy and Spike are forced to share a flat. It's a fun, well-written story full of UST. I've read it several times. It's a WIP, but it's long and ends in a good place.

Summary: You know what it means... whatever can go wrong, will go wrong. 'Murphy's Law' comes into play from the moment our two favorite blonds meet despite any initial attraction to one another.
