Buffy has a baby and Riley's the Dad but wants to buy her silence to protect his politician Dad

Anyone able to help with this one?

It is a spuffy story, Buffy gets pregnant by Riley (I think!), has the baby and Spike helps out. Riley wants nothing to do with Buffy or the baby and I think Riley's Dad is in politics and tries to buy Buffy's silence so as to avoid a scandal. Buffy asks Spike to go with her to confront them and he has to hold his temper for Buffy's sake.

I remember it was a well written and enjoyable story. Ring any bells?

I think Buffy is pregnant with Riley's baby in Niamh's Baby Love, I think they try and pay off Buffy so it doesn't ruin Riley's future. I don't remember that his father is in politics. You can find it on this site.

In Baby Love I believe Riley was going into the military after high school and could not afford to have a child out there messing up his ability to do so unencumbered. If there's another story with Riley's dad a politician I don't recall it.

Isn't Riley's father a politician in Greyangel's Carved Heart? Riley's gay in that one and Parker (?) is Buffy's lover until she finds out he's married and leaves him and then I think he tries to buy her off and she gives the money away to some charity. Buffy lives with Riley as a cover for him and to keep guys from hitting on her. Anyway, that's the only fic where I think Riley's father is a politician. I may be wrong and it's been too long since I read this fic so I think I'll go do that right now!

I was thinking of Carved Heart too, remembering the politician-link to Riley's father. That's for sure the fic, and Spike's anger definitely features a major role throughout the fic too. Just not a baby-fic...maybe the ideas are mixed up??

The one I was (mis)remembering was Baby Love by Niamh. I thought they were trying to buy her off because the Dad was a politician but it was because of Riley's future in military school!

Baby Love has always been one of my favorite AH stories, that's why I knew the plot off the top of my head.
